Rural farmers in Missouri need help. We're not talking about environmental rollback help, we're talking monopolies buying family farm products for such a cheap and disrespectful price that the families are financially suffering.
There are extremely limited crop and livestock buyers in Missouri that can set the price of what they want to pay for goods instead of what the farmers deserve.
To combat, and end, this practice, farmer protections need to be put in place to give them the power to sell their products at a reasonable price that works for them.
Monopolies are already illegal, we just need this issue to be highlighted and for this monopoly to be broken up. This includes the GMO seed monopoly. Currently, Monsanto is the only supplier of GMO crops, selling to ~93% of the world. I'll repeat, monopolies are illegal, its time to break them up.
I will work to help our rural Missourians in setting up these protections. They need the help of the government in this matter and I'm saying I'm here to help.
